Sport & recreation environments, designed and built end-to-end.

At Leka Studio we design and deliver the places people move, play and compete — multi-sport courts, athletics tracks, outdoor fitness zones, performance trampolines and wheel parks, all on certified, high-performance surfacing. One brief, one contract, one accountable partner, from feasibility to the first whistle.

Leka Studio sport environment — athletic surfacing and play in an outdoor facility
Why partner with Leka Studio?

A sports facility is an investment in performance, participation and safety.

A great court or track does more than fill a footprint — it draws people to move, supports real athletic development, and has to stay safe under years of hard use. That takes more than dropping a surface on a slab: it takes engineering of the sub-base, the surface build-up, the falls and the markings, all tuned to the sports it hosts.

From concept to completion we handle every layer — feasibility, design, engineering, surfacing, equipment and floodlighting — and then keep it performing with inspection and resurfacing programmes. One partner, accountable for how the facility plays on opening day and a decade later.

Our services

What we deliver for sport & recreation.

Five disciplines, one contract. From feasibility to long-term resurfacing, every stage of your facility is in expert hands.

Facility & surface design

We design courts, tracks, fitness zones and wheel parks around the sports they host — run-off zones, sightlines, drainage falls, line marking and surface build-ups specified for the way each game is actually played, in tropical sun and monsoon.

Turnkey project delivery

From concept to commissioning we manage the whole build — engineering, sub-base, surfacing, equipment, fencing and floodlighting — under a single accountable contract, so the facility opens ready to play, not half-finished.

Safety & performance certification

Sports surfaces are tested for slip resistance, shock absorption and ball behaviour, and play equipment to EN 1176 / ASTM F1487. We document the test data and offer annual third-party inspection to keep the facility compliant.

Inclusive, multi-use programming

We zone facilities so one footprint serves PE classes, after-school clubs, community hire and competition — with accessible, flush surfacing so athletes of every ability can take part.

Long-term care & resurfacing

Sports surfaces wear where the action is. We provide line-remarking, top-up and full resurfacing programmes, plus equipment servicing, so performance and safety hold season after season.

Our approach

From concept to completion.

We take a holistic approach to recreation design, guiding you through every stage of development — from feasibility studies and conceptual planning to design, training, and ongoing support.

  1. 1

    Feasibility studies & site analysis

We start with a feasibility study — site survey, drainage and orientation analysis, sports-mix audit and budget forecasting — before any surface or layout is committed.

  2. 2

    Concept & design development

A bespoke facility concept tuned to the sports you run, the ages you serve and the space you have. Court layouts, run-offs, surface build-ups and line marking are designed in from the start.

  3. 3

    Training & operational support

We brief your PE staff, coaches or facility team on safe use, supervision, surface care and seasonal programming so the facility is run well from day one.

  4. 4

    Ongoing maintenance

Post-handover we provide annual safety inspections, surface maintenance and resurfacing programmes that keep the facility safe, fast and compliant for years.

Why facilities choose us

Performance-engineered. Climate-tested. Maintenance-conscious.

Built for the sport

Surface build-ups, falls and markings tuned to the games each facility actually hosts — not a generic slab.

Climate-ready

Fast drainage, UV-stable surfacing and shade — designed for tropical sun and monsoon.

Multi-use by design

Overlaid markings and zoned run-offs let one footprint serve PE, clubs, community hire and competition.

Certified & inspected

Slip, shock-absorption and equipment standards documented, with annual third-party inspection available.

What our clients say

One contract took us from a cracked old slab to a full multi-sport court — line-marked, fenced and floodlit — over a single holiday.

Sport FAQ

What facilities ask before engaging.

  • What sports facilities does Leka Studio build?

Multi-sport courts (basketball, futsal, netball, volleyball), athletics and running tracks, outdoor fitness and calisthenics areas, performance trampolines, skate and wheel parks, and the certified sports surfacing underneath them all — as a single turnkey design-build contract.

  • What surfacing standards do you build to?

Synthetic sports surfaces are specified and tested for slip resistance, shock absorption and ball behaviour (EN 14904 for indoor sports floors and the relevant outdoor equivalents), and play / fitness equipment to EN 1176 and ASTM F1487. Manufacturer test data is documented for your records.

  • Can a facility serve more than one sport or age group?

Yes — most of our facilities are multi-use by design. We overlay line markings, zone run-off areas and choose a surface build-up that balances the needs of the different sports and age bands sharing the footprint.

  • How do you handle Asia's climate?

Drainage falls, UV-stable surfacing, shade structures and monsoon-ready sub-bases are baseline. We design courts and tracks to drain fast and stay playable across the year, and specify surfaces that hold colour and grip in full tropical sun.

  • Can works be phased to avoid disruption?

Yes — for schools and clubs we commonly phase surfacing and equipment works into holiday or off-season windows so term-time PE and competition calendars are not disrupted.
