Magpie Bird Playground at Central Village

Central Village commissioned Leka Studio to design and build a destination playground for the children of visiting families. The brief called for a structure that would draw families to spend longer at the village, while staying photo-friendly for the brand’s social channels. 

The Magpie Bird Playground is a fully bespoke nature-themed structure in marine-grade ply with UV-stable polymer cladding, hot-dip galvanised understructure, and shaded rest areas. The hero magpie sculpture became an anchor that families orbit around — kids climb, parents Instagram, the village wins.
